A popular fitness brand is finally coming back to the city.
La Fitness is coming back, and it’s being held at the former La Fitness in the Tenderloin, near Bryant and Figueroa streets.
The brand was founded in 2011 by former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Anquan Boldin and his wife, Lourdes Boldin.
They started it out as a place for athletes to get their workouts in, but they expanded into fitness classes and fitness gear in 2016.
Now they’re back with a new location that will be open for all genders and ages.
The new location will feature a large indoor fitness center, with yoga, dance and more, plus an area for socializing.
The first classes will start on Friday, October 17, and the last will be on Saturday, October 18.
La Fitness has been open for more than four years, but the owners are keeping it a secret until they open.
That’s why we have a preview.
“We really wanted to do this on a weekend and not have people coming in for their workout,” said the owner, who asked that her name not be used because she has a personal trainer.
“We didn’t want people coming down here, and then when we opened, they all started to come.
People have been really, really supportive, and we’re trying to do it right.”
La Fit’s new location is in the former Tenderloom Fitness and Fitness Lounge building at 459 Sutter St. The former fitness center is owned by the same people who own the Tenders, and they recently completed a $1 million renovation to bring in the new La Fit space.
The new La Fitness will open in early 2019.
The space will be located in a former Tenders space, but it will also have a gym, fitness center and a large outdoor patio.
