Fitness instructor and fitness coach Michelle Serna says her gym, CrossFit West, has had a huge impact on her life.
Sernas clients include celebrities like Katy Perry, Jennifer Aniston, and Lindsay Lohan.
But she says she can’t count the number of times she’s seen her clients with a pair of gym shorts that were designed to look like the ones they were wearing in their movies.
“I’ve had clients who are going out in their shorts that are just like the movies,” she said.
“They’re super ripped, they’re so muscular.
But the shorts were made to look the same as the movie.”
Sernas first started doing CrossFit at age 10.
By 13, she was a certified coach and an all-star.
“I loved being in the gym with these guys who I felt like I could talk to,” she recalled.
“And now, with CrossFit, I can talk to them and it’s like I’m in the movie.
I’ve seen them become better athletes.
I mean, I’m not even a competitive person, but I’m a fitness guy, and I love being in a room with people who are like that. “
The workouts I’m doing are so different from what they were doing before.

Serna said she started CrossFit around six years ago, but she’s not the only one who’s been drawn to the program.
“There are tons of other fitness trainers out there, but they’ve got to start somewhere, and CrossFit has given me the opportunity to do what I love,” she told Vice.
“It’s so accessible, it’s so much fun.
I have a lot of fun doing it.”
The idea of having a personal trainer come to your gym for your workout was appealing to Serns clients, but CrossFit isn’t just about bodybuilding and fitness.
“This is the thing I wanted to do with Crossfit,” she explained.
“My goal was to go to my gym and be my personal trainer.
It was a long shot.”
CrossFit West also gives athletes access to a personal coach who can provide feedback about their workout.
“Every time you do something, they tell you, ‘This is how you did it,'” Sernes said.
The coach can also provide feedback on what exercises to do in a particular workout.
“It gives you a chance to learn a little bit about your body and how to build it up,” Sernos said.
“They are really helpful because you have someone who is actually there with you, who can see what you’re doing and give you a different way to do it.”
Sernoses personal trainer is a member of the CrossFit International staff, which is made up of some of the most elite athletes in the world.
“We’re trying to provide a place for these athletes to get their fitness,” Surnas said.
While Sernows personal trainer has been there to support her clients, she’s also known as a personal fitness coach herself.
“If I wasn’t doing Crossfit, I would probably be doing a lot more cardio,” she laughed.
“But Crossfit gives me a chance for that to happen.
I love doing Crossfits workouts.”
