A few years ago, fitness models were a niche product.
Today, the market is saturated.
But a new type of fitness model is emerging that will change the way that people work and spend their time.
And the shift is happening fast.
“The whole fitness industry is becoming much more mainstream,” says Erin Fuchs, an associate professor of business administration at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.
“People are waking up to it.”
The first fitness model on our list was introduced to us by a young fitness model from Montreal.
Her name was Lise, and she’s been modeling since 2013.
Lise works as an exercise physiologist at a university in Montreal, where she is in charge of a group of fitness models.
In her job, she spends the day with students who are looking for ways to strengthen their bodies and improve their fitness.
“It’s a little bit like a weight-training class,” she says.
“We have about 10 or 15 people at any given time.”
Lise says the main challenge she faces is keeping track of the number of people who visit her gym, and keeping track on how much they spend.
“You get into the habit of doing that a lot,” she explains.
“I think that’s where the biggest challenges are.”
One of Lise’s challenges is keeping tabs on how many people are using her gym.
In Quebec, fitness is regulated by the provincial health ministry.
It’s a relatively new model.
Before that, it was all about weight training.
And before that, people used to do it with weights and barbells.
The new fitness model says she doesn’t even have to think about what the weight is for.
“My goal is to use my body as a fitness model,” she explained.
Lising’s fitness model class is about to begin.
She’s looking to work with young, attractive women who are interested in gaining strength and getting in shape.
They don’t need to be a fitness instructor.
She can use the same workout equipment as a regular fitness instructor, or the gym’s own weight room, and her fitness model can use her own equipment.
There are no health or nutrition requirements, and they can wear whatever they want.
“Our clients are mostly middle-aged women, but I see many of them coming in,” Lise said.
Lises fitness model training is very similar to what she’d use at a fitness class, but there are some important differences.
“There’s a lot less training,” Lises says.
The gym’s training room is set up like a normal gym.
Lips says she uses the same equipment, including weights, barbell, and elliptical machines.
The only difference is that she has a small box for her exercise equipment and the gym has a full-size, gym-style gym chair.
In the past, there was no reason to worry about how people would spend their training time.
“If you wanted to get in shape, you could go out and do that,” she said.
“But with fitness, you have to do a lot more.”
In the fitness industry, there are about 20,000 registered fitness models, according to the fitness company Fitbit.
That’s up from about 15,000 in the early 2000s.
There’s a growing demand for people who want to be part of the fitness business, and Lises model fits that market.
“Every time I have a client, it’s like, ‘Hey, I want to work at this gym,'” Lises said.
She added that people are always interested in working with her.
“A lot of them don’t even know who I am.
They think I’m a fitness trainer.
I’ve never been an athlete,” Lites said.
It turns out that a few years back, Lises was working with a gym in Montreal that offered a gym workout program.
She had been looking for a way to get more people to work out at home, and the company that offered the workout program wasn’t exactly what she was looking for.
So she decided to try a different approach.
She approached Fitbit about a month later and told them that she wanted to work in fitness.
The Fitbit employee who interviewed her, who has worked for the company for several years, was intrigued.
“She said, ‘I have to see what you’re doing,'” Lites recalls.
“And she went and did a little background research.
I thought, ‘What’s that about?'”
Lises decided to work on a new fitness program for Fitbit, which is based in Toronto.
She wanted to make sure that she was up to speed on what she wanted.
“Before I was there, I had only heard about a couple of fitness programs that I wanted to do, and I didn’t know how to go about doing them,” she told us.
She figured out how to do the workout in under two hours, using a simple computer program.
